Training and Development
At Smith&Smith® we invest heavily in our people. We will provide you with the training and development you need to give you the skills to reach your full potential. We run a formal centralised induction programme, offer NZQA technical accreditation, international Belron way of working, and Belron way of coaching programmes. Not to mention we work with state of the art tools designed especially for vehicle glass repair and replacement that only we have access to!
Succession Planning and Promotions
We keep in touch with our team members on a regular basis to asses their skills, experience and aspirations. Succession plans are put in place for development to help get our people to where they want to be. Our company structure allows room for plenty of growth and we recognise that opportunities may exist in other regions so transfers are always a possibility.
Life & Health Insurance
Just as our people are important to us so are their families. Our Carglass Life Insurance Plan provides your estate with a lump sum equal to 52 weeks x Hourly rate x Contracted hours to minimise any financial burdens. Our Southern Cross work scheme also entitles team members to reduced health insurance premiums.
Best of Belron Competition
Every 2 years Smith&Smith® technicians put their vehicle glass repair skills to the ultimate test in a competition to find the Best of New Zealand.
Branches across the country complete on a local level with the top 5 technicians being selected to compete in a National Final held in Auckland. During the 2 day event, the competitors are put through their paces in a series of challenges closely monitored by a team of watchful judges to test everything from their customer service skills to glass fitting.
The 2017 Best of New Zealand competition wrapped up in November with the winner coming from our Hamilton Anglesea branch.

Community Involvement and Corporate Responsibility
At Smith&Smith® giving back to our local community and those less fortunate is important to us. Throughout the year we support The Salvation Army through various giving back initiatives from food, toiletry and clothing collections to fund raising efforts as our chosen charity.
On a global scale we support Afrika Tikkun through the annual Spirit of Belron® Challenge. Afrika Tikkun is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the eradication of poverty by caring for vulnerable children in townships in South Africa.
Their programs address the needs of township children with the end goal being their successful placement in careers or tertiary learning facilities.
Each year Smith&Smith® team members join with their Belron® colleagues from all over the world to fund raise for this worthy cause and to meet for a fun filled 2 day event in the UK to celebrate.
